Pietro Gallinotti started his instrument-making activity in 1922. His workshop was located in Solero (AL). He was guitar amateur. He often copied Spanish instruments but then managed to create a well defined Italian model that made him one of the best Italian guitar makers, whose instruments still are very demanded and beloved.
